2025 6th man tournament rules

  • 3 games guaranteed

  • USSSA Rules

  • 220 Stamp bats and senior bats allowed

    • no ultras

  • 5 Home run limit without unlimited band purchase

    • Girls do not count towards total

  • RUN RULE:

    • 20 after 3

    • 15 after 4

    • 12 after 5

  • 6-4 rule

    • guys and girls must alternate in lineup, but not in the field

  • 45 minute time limit

  • one pinch runner per inning, excluding pitchers

    • pitchers will always have the option for a pinch runner

  • hit your own 44/400 balls

  • players must play for one team only

    • the only multi-team exception being that a team may pick up a player from a previously eliminated team if they are otherwise short-handed and unable to continue play without a pick up

    • pick up player cannot hit home runs and must play catcher

  • Each team required to pay umpire $12 per game

  • teams must be at field 20 minutes before posted game time

    • first game will be only game with a 15 minute courtesy exception using original scheduled time on bracket

  • a team that starts short handed is only allowed to add the amount of players needed to fill 10 player lineup after games have started

  • coaches of first place teams will choose a mvp

  • all coaches must submit their entries for selection of home run champion to tournament director (justin hall) after their last game

  • for players to be eligible for consideration/selection for mvp and home run champion awards, you must keep a scorebook every game and present to tournament director following your last game

  • ball shaggers will be provided, with tips for their work appreciated

  • entry fees are on or before october 8th, and must be paid before you will be added to the bracket

  • team check in and tail gate party starts at 5:30 pm, friday october 10th, with games starting after the home run derby. tentative start time 9:00 pm

  • a door prize ticket and one free beer from the beer garden will be given to all players/coaches that attend the team check in and tail gate party between 5:30 and 7:00 on friday, october 10th

  • no outside alcohol - MUst purchase from beer garden

    • ALL YOU CAN DRINK BANDS AVailable: $25 per day and $35 entire weekend

  • There will be absolutely zero tolerance for any disrespectful, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior toward the umpires, between other team, or any volunteers working the tournament. this is a charity event to support 1030 basketball’s mission. anyone that is determined to have displayed this type of behavior will be immediately ejected from the complex for the entire weekend. no exceptions.

    • the posting of these rules is the one warning that will be given

    • coaches - it is your responsibility to make your team aware of these rules

    • tournament director and 1030 bc director reserve the right to eject anyone they have deemed to violate these rules. no exceptions. no appeals. no refunds.
